Review: Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner..

If a product manages to bag its own post-length review from me, you know its a good one. You’ve probably heard of this little gem before, if you’ve been debating whether or not to buy it I strongly advise you get your face to a Clarins counter as a matter of urgency and spend the best twenty five pounds you’ve ever spent on Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner.

I was toying with the idea of Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 or Alpha H Liquid Gold to add to my skincare rotation, seeking something to eliminate any dry, flaky patches and add some radiance to dull skin.. but I was a little concerned about the problems associated with over-exfoliating – damaging & thickening my skin as both of these products have very high amounts of acid considering I already use an exfoliating chemical mask twice per week.

Rachelle loves Rag & Bone..

c600x600
..As much as I’m still enveloped in a post-holiday, tanned and happily sporting as few clothes as I can get away with daze – after the daily peruse of the new-in Net a Porter page and a flick through the latest (hefty) installment of ELLE Collections I must admit I’m starting to get itchy feet to crack on with my autumn wardrobe.

I’m quite literally having dreams about this butter soft leather fronted Rag & Bone blazer, I want to wear it with silky shirtdresses that I have a ever-growing All Saints collection of and chunky, scarily high, platforms. These Saint Laurent’s are just the dream.

People don’t really hear that much of the small Balearic island, Menorca. I personally hadn’t even heard that much of the isle but faced with a twelve day window in both the boy & I’s diary and after a flick through Condé Nast Traveller filled with the most beautiful pictures of secluded bays with crystal clear calm water it was decided that our last little summer break of 2013 would be to the islands capital, Mahon.

By night, the gorgeous little pebbled alleyways and harbours come to life which are packed into any space possible with bars and restuarants; all authentic places filled with trendy locals drinking Menorcan gin and the amazing cava sangria. While the typical Spanish tapas are good, the locally caught seafood is on another level. Its worth going for what are listed on menus as “small salted Menorcan prawns”, which are actually piles of fresh still-in-the-shell King Prawns, gently cooked in garlic, plenty of white wine and butter with a healthy dose of bread on the side.

Rachelle loves Zara Sandals..

PicMonkey Collage
Barely there sandals are every womans best friend as the the sexiest shoe in the universe. Fact. I own an abundance of similar styles, they work so well with everything from ripped rolled-up jeans to the prettiest of summer dresses. These Zara beauties have that little extra somethin’ somethin’, the simple sleek design with pointed toes and straps are to die for.

These little £39.99 bundles of joy will each be taking centre stage in my holiday suitcase, they may actually be the only shoe I end up taking. And that certainly is a bold statement..

Some amazing summer sandals I found on a super-market sweep style shopping trip for about £12 at Primark! They go with everything, the quality is surprisingly good.. get them while you still can.

Flashback-ing to our last holiday in the Dominican Republic, poolside with a Raspberry Collins while I wish away the days ’til we jet off and this becomes my view again.. Four little days left!
