Rachelle Loves Black Magic..

All of yesterdays spooky excitement has me eyeing up a selection of not so ghoulish, but sexy selection of naughty treats..

1. Love, love loving the ever favoured Diptyque Baies candle in a gorgeous dark finish, this looks amazing burning next to one of their smaller classic white candles for a beautiful monochrome detail to finish off a room.

2. I’m becoming increasingly obsessed with the Lulu Guinness lips clutches, this black snakeskin version is a sophisticated version of the fun classic.

Bright Eyes and Orange Pouts..

When it comes to beauty, its so often preached that bare is beautiful. Quite rightly so. But, every now and then so is a bit of colour on your face. Orange has become one of the biggest beauty trends we’ve seen this summer, appearing on the gorgeous and fashion conscious (myself included, of course..) has been sporting it everywhere from toenails and talons to the ends of your hair in a crazy dip-dye craze. You already know I love a good statement lip, to me its the easiest way to work a bright pop into your visage without having to do too much to the rest of it.

Cast your mind back to the SS13 shows last September in Milan, where Moschino models took to the runway breaking all of the beauty rules your Mum had taught you; there was long fluttery lashes, bright orange lips, statement brows and white liner lining each beautiful eye. I’ve been drawing inspiration when “doing” my own face, and when putting my say into styling a shoot or look.

Unfortunately, not many of us look like Cara Delevinge nor feature regularly in high-fashion campaigns where this kinda look is commonplace – even I admit the full on re-creation is a little much for a trip to ASDA but why not channel your inner Cara and go all out for a night of cocktails, there are so many orange tones out there that work for almost any skin tone and paired with a slick of white liner the look is young, fresh and polished.

Five Things..

..Another week, another round up of instagram snaps from along the way;

I cant help stopping and staring at stunning bouquets on the roadside of our local florists, the summer always brings the most beautiful flowers out.

After a few too many drinks on Saturday night, my skin was desperate for some TLC and a decent sleep. The Super Facialist Tea Flower Pore Purifying Clay Mask (which is amazing to use once a week) and a good night sleep had my face back to its previous state come Monday morning.

Sunshine and almost anything make a pretty good combination. Sunshine and a fruit-filled glass of Pimms is literally a little glass of heaven.

Testing out some amazing new products at the office while skimming my way over the delicious images in an old French Vogue made for a very pleasant Monday.

Review: Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner..

If a product manages to bag its own post-length review from me, you know its a good one. You’ve probably heard of this little gem before, if you’ve been debating whether or not to buy it I strongly advise you get your face to a Clarins counter as a matter of urgency and spend the best twenty five pounds you’ve ever spent on Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner.

I was toying with the idea of Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 or Alpha H Liquid Gold to add to my skincare rotation, seeking something to eliminate any dry, flaky patches and add some radiance to dull skin.. but I was a little concerned about the problems associated with over-exfoliating – damaging & thickening my skin as both of these products have very high amounts of acid considering I already use an exfoliating chemical mask twice per week.
