Rachelle Loves Topshop Rhodium Sandals..

On Saturday afternoon I ended up spending three hours in a bar watching a football match with the boy (read: eating an oversized combo-platter full of carb-a-licious deep fried goodness and drinking too many bottles of tequila beer). Afterwards, both tipsy and after spending too much time in a testosterone filled environment I dragged him to Topshop to restore some balance to our lives.

Spurred on by a weeks worth of calories in one sitting and more beers than I dared to count we ended up going a little wild; a leather tee, blazer, jeans, trousers, jumpers and a few very pretty little tops he steered me in the direction of the till before I could even start on the shoe section. And then I see these beauties. £55 worth of joy.

The snakeskin finish and gold details have me all hot and bothered. I NEED these in my life.

All of these amazing new season releases are too much for a weak fashion-fiend, and after reluctantly checking my current account with one eye closed this morning, are too much for my bank balance too.

Rachelle loves Zara Sandals..

Barely there sandals are every womans best friend as the the sexiest shoe in the universe. Fact. I own an abundance of similar styles, they work so well with everything from ripped rolled-up jeans to the prettiest of summer dresses. These Zara beauties have that little extra somethin’ somethin’, the simple sleek design with pointed toes and straps are to die for.

These little £39.99 bundles of joy will each be taking centre stage in my holiday suitcase, they may actually be the only shoe I end up taking. And that certainly is a bold statement..

When the Sun..

..comes out in Britain, its pretty much the law to either drop all plans, or move them outside. As a reward for the productive day I so needed (even on five hours sleep, thanks to the boy for that.. No, not that, for deciding to make a lasagne at midnight) I’ve upped sticks and set up office in garden.

Work – check. Holiday shopping – complete. According to this – its now time to put my feet up and crack open the sushi and champagne. Yes, it should be juice but its also the law in a sunny Britain to indulge in a few “bevvies”.

What else can we get away with when the sun shines?

Braving the Saturday Shops..

.. during a heatwave sounds like a recipe for disaster. On one of my busiest weekends of the year, a heatwave decides to head our way. Excellent. Not only have I a mountain of work to get through, but just about all of my holiday shopping to do as we board that plane in eight little days time. I’m usually the most organised person on the planet when it comes to vacay-prep but I’ve been well and truly wrapped up in a little daze of the new site launch while enveloped in the post-Glasto blues…

To keep cool while dashing around buying bikinis and tanning oil I’ll wear something simple that looks stylish without being too ‘Summer-is-here-lets-take-off-everything’ and also easy to slip in and out of in changing rooms; like a pair of vintage Levi cut-off shorts teamed with a perfectly cut Philip Lim black tee and sexy Steve Madden sandals (which happen to be on sale for THIRTY TWO QUID). I’m still sporting the dreaded Glasto-Gut and a bikini to squeeze into, so nothing besides a ton of organic juice and sushi for this poor soul. Spare a thought for me as you guzzle cocktails and barbeque ribs in the sunshine.

Say it with me; “eight sleeps, eight sleeps, eight sleeps”..
